BIRTH SONG is an opportunity to have an original song written and recorded just for you, inspired by the unique story of your natal birth chart.
Through a series of in-depth interviews, I get to know your life story, your experiences, your deepest desires, and the possibilities you're moving toward. By weaving together the wisdom of your astrological chart with the particularities of your lived experience, I create an original piece of music and lyrics that gives voice to the person you are and the person you're becoming.
Your BIRTH SONG is something to return to again and again — a personal anthem, a reminder of your innate gifts, your essential nature, and the unique ways you're here to bring yourself into the world.
the making of your birth song
We begin with two 90-minute sessions, which I like to call story-collecting interviews. These conversations are an opportunity for me to get to know you more deeply: your life experiences, defining moments, hopes, desires, and the stories that have shaped who you are. Through thoughtful questions and close listening, I begin weaving together your lived experience with the archetypal themes, gifts, and possibilities held within your natal chart.
Once our conversations are complete, I begin the songwriting process. Drawing inspiration from your stories and astrological chart, I write original lyrics and compose music that gives expression to your unique essence. Each song takes its own shape and direction. Some may emerge as an intimate a cappella piece, while others may be composed on piano or guitar. Depending on the creative direction, I may also invite other musicians to contribute to the recording.
Once your song has taken shape, I professionally record it and deliver your professionally recorded original song as a high-quality MP3 file, which you can download, save, and listen to whenever you wish. It's yours to keep, revisit, and return to throughout your life.
BIRTH SONG will serve as a lifelong original musical portrait of who you are, where you've been, and all that you're becoming.
Music was my first love
Before I became a counselor or astrologer, I was a musician. I had the good fortune of attending a performing arts high school in Phoenix, Arizona, where I studied choral music and theatre. It was there that my love of music began to take shape. From that foundation, I went on to write, compose, and perform my own original music throughout college and for many years beyond.
The total investment for your BIRTH SONG is $2,200. This includes both the creative process and the professional recording of your original song, including any additional musicians or musical accompaniment needed to bring it to life.
